At its meeting on March 30 the Classification Review Board declined to hear the appeal by the Australian Family Association to refuse classification for the French drama, Irreversible, on the grounds that the request was made out of time, being more than 30 days after the film’s release. The Board added it had viewed the film anyway, and "considered there was virtually no prospect of the film’s classification changing."Thankfully, a day of sensible censors! :)
