The Higher Education Gossip Section!
I never realised that the Higher Education section of The Australian had a gossip section! And, it's pretty funny, at that! Being a UWA postgrad, I found this one very amusing:

Too much vino? The Australian Vice-chancellor's Committee's inaugural "Universities meet Parliament" wound up on Thursday night with a gala dinner at Parliament House. To underline this federal Government's focus on higher education, guest speaker was none other than Prime Minister John Howard. The PM spoke with conviction about the importance of reform and careful consultation with VCs ... and mispronounced AVCC president Deryck Schreuder's name no fewer than four times.Poor Deryck; and poor little Johnnie ... it's obviously getting too hard at the top!
