Serenity Viral II: Session 1, Excerpt

Wednesday, August 24, 2005
With 36 Australian days until the official Serenity release, the virals are flying (yes, I realise that sounds like the Joss-flu is catching, but I think "viral" is a generally accepted shortform for "viral advertisement" by now ... either that or I like adjective-to-noun conversions!). The prequel to the 'Session 416, Excerpt 2' has just surfaced...

The details can all be found here at the new Session 416 website, but if you're too lazy to look feel free to download the .mov clip from ourmedia.org or from the Session 416 site (approx. 4Mb). This is definitely a Serenity viral not only because we can see Summer Glau more clearly, but the voice of her interviewer sounds remarkably like a certain Joss Whedon! Whedonesque also reports that IMDb have finally started showing the voting average for Serenity (despite a release date of September 29th, many fans have seen the hype-generating previews) and it debuts at a very impressive...

... 9.0 out of 10 with 991 votes! Also, for the quote-hunters out there, check the IMDb quotes page for some great lines, including this corker from Wash: "Can we start with the part where Jayne gets knocked out by a 90 pound girl? Because that's *never* getting old."

In unrelated but equally geeky news, some pretty new pictures from the upcoming Narnia film have surfaced. [Via]
