Atari Slot Machines?!?

Tuesday, September 14, 2004
Now there's addictive in terms of gambling (read: slot machines) and addictive in terms of nostalgic video games (read: PacMan, Asteroids and, for the purists, Pong), but now you can have both your addictions in one neat little package as Atari announce slot machines based on classic Atari games:
Under the agreement between Bally Gaming and Systems, a business unit of Alliance Gaming, and Atari Interactive, Inc., an Atari affiliate, slot machines based on Atari titles are under development, with the first — based on PONG® — scheduled to be debuted by Bally’s at the upcoming Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas on Oct. 5-7, 2004 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. In addition to PONG, the deal includes other well-known Atari classics such as Asteroids®, Centipede® and Breakout®.
I don't think I'll be going anywhere near a casino or pub with these games or I may never come back out! [via WaterCoolerGames]
