Tama and Friends?!?!

The only downside of having a relatively unique name (relative to not living in New Zealand where the name originates in Maori or Japan where the name seems to mean a great many thing), is that I tend to react to anything (other than a drum) with my first name on it. So, when an amused friend pointed out the Tama and Friends children's programme, it gave me pause (and a very Hello Kitty shudder). It's just too "cute":
