A Few Choice Star Wars Links...
Thursday, May 19, 2005
While I've been quite tame in terms of Revenge of the Sith linkage, a few choice links in the last few days are well worth pointing out for the millions of Star Wars fans out there (and the few of you who read this blog!):
[X] George Lucas in Love: This short film is a few years old, but still extremely funny and very well made. It tells the tale of young George Lucas trying to finish his tale of intergalactic space farming at USC film school ... and the trials, tribulations and forbidden love that get in his way, all shot in the style of Shakespeare in Love.
[X] The Darth Side:

[X] Store Wars: When the Galactic Empire meets organic food producers, what other than an epic battle could ensue?
Update (8.30pm, May 19 2005): A few more...
[X] Waxy reports that a workprint of Episode3 is already doing the torrent rounds and is downloadable (as are many fake Episode3 torrents, possibly put up by the MPAA).
[X] Boing Boing points to a bunch of Star Wars tidbits: apparently some SW fan films were screened at Cannes(!!); and Worth1000 are photoshopping those SW cliches!

[X] The Darth Side:
Darth Vader is an immaculately conceived knight-bastard imbued with magical powers who rules the known galaxy at the right hand of the merciless and brilliant Emperor Palpatine I. Though he maintains palaces on both Coruscant and Vjun, Vader spends most of his time travelling aboard Executor, the flagship of his deadly pan-galactic armada. He enjoys fixing things, listening to music, and crushing people's tracheas with his mind.(Even a Dark Lord of the Sith needs to blog!)
